Hadith 5:297
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hafs bin Ghiyath narrated to us, from Hajjaj, from al-Hakam, that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) sent a collector for the charity (zakat). He came to al-Abbas to collect it from him. Al-Abbas said to him, "I have already paid the charity of my wealth in advance for two years." He (the collector) came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and informed him. He (the Prophet) said, "My uncle has spoken the truth."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا حفص بن غياث عن حجاج عن الحكم أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بعث ساعيا على الصدقة فأتى العباس يتسلفه فقال له العباس إني أسلفت صدقة مالي سنتين فأتى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال صدق عمي
