Hadith 5:341
'Abd al-Rahim ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Khalid, from Shubayl ibn 'Awf, who said: And he had reached the Age of Ignorance (Jahiliyyah). He said: 'Umar ibn al-Khattab commanded the people to give charity. The people said: "O Commander of the Faithful, we have horses and slaves; impose upon us ten [dirhams] for every ten [slaves or horses]." He said: "As for me, I will not impose that upon you."
حدثنا عبد الرحيم بن سليمان عن بن أبي خالد عن شبيل بن عوف قال وكان أدرك الجاهلية قال أمر عمر بن الخطاب الناس بالصدقة فقال الناس يا أمير المؤمنين خيل لنا ورقيق أفرض علينا عشرة عشرة فقال أما انا فلا أفرض ذلك عليكم
