Hadith 5:445
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Jarir narrated to us, from Mansur, from al-Hasan, who said: Ali was asked about a man who has a debt owed to him by another man. He said: "The owner of the wealth shall pay its Zakat. If what is owed to him is lost and he fears it will not be repaid, he said: 'He grants a respite, and when it is recovered, he pays the Zakat for his wealth.'"
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا جرير عن منصور عن الحسن قال سئل علي عن الرجل يكون له الدين على الرجل قال يزكيه صاحب المال فإن توى ما عليه وخشي أن لا يقضي قال يمهل فإذا خرج ادى زكاة ماله
