Hadith 5:584
Muhammad ibn Bakr narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, who said: Umayya ibn Abi Uthman informed me, from Umayya ibn Abd Allah, that Nafi ibn Alqama wrote to Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan asking him about the slave who is in the orchard and the livestock: Is there Zakat al-Fitr upon him? He said: No, because the orchard and the livestock that he is in, he has already given charity (Zakat) through them, so there is no Zakat upon him.
حدثنا محمد بن بكر عن بن جريج قال أخبرني أمية بن أبي عثمان عن أمية بن عبد الله أن نافع بن علقمة كتب إلى عبد الملك بن مروان يسأله عن العبد في الحائط والماشية عليه زكاة يوم الفطر قال لا من أجل أن الحائط والماشية الذي هو فيها إنما صدقت به فليس عليه زكاة
