Hadith 5:617
Mu'tamir ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from Shabib, from Abd al-Malik, who said: I asked Muqatil ibn Hayyan about a man in the *Diwan* (state registry) who has a stipend and a horse, but he is in need: "Should I give him from the *Zakat*?" He said: "Yes."
حدثنا معتمر بن سليمان عن شبيب عن عبد الملك قال سألت مقاتل بن حيان عن رجل في الديوان له عطاء وفرس وهو محتاج أعطيه من الزكاة قال نعم
