Hadith 5:655
Ibn Numayr narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Sa'id, from Abdullah ibn Abi Salamah, that Abu 'Amr ibn Hamas informed him that his father, Hamas, used to sell hides and quivers. 'Umar said to him, "O Hamas, pay the zakat on your wealth." He said, "By Allah, I have no wealth; I only sell hides and quivers." He said, "Appraise them and pay their zakat."
حدثنا بن نمير عن يحيى بن سعيد عن عبد الله بن أبي سلمة أن أبا عمرو بن حماس أخبره أن أباه حماسا كان يبيع الآدم والجعاب وأن عمر قال له يا حماس أد زكاة مالك فقال والله مالي مال إنما أبيع الأدم والجعاب فقال قومه وأد زكاته
