Hadith 5:670
Waki’ narrated to us, from al-A’mash, from some of his companions, from Ibn Mas’ud, that he used to give the *‘ata* (stipend/gift) and then pay *zakat* on it.
حدثنا وكيع عن الأعمش عن بعض أصحابه عن بن مسعود أنه كان يعطي العطاء فيزكيه
