Hadith 5:757
Ibn Mubarak narrated to us, from Ma'mar, from Ibn Tawus, from his father, from Abu Bakr bin Hazm, who said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would send the estimator (of dates), he would command him not to estimate the palm trees, except for the *'Araya* (the small plots of date palms given as a gift).
حدثنا بن مبارك عن معمر عن بن طاوس عن أبيه عن أبي بكر بن حزم قال كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا بعث الخارص أمره أن لا يخرص النخل إلا العرايا
