Hadith 5:791
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Usamah narrated to us, he said: Jarir ibn Hazim narrated to me, from a man, from Jabir ibn Zayd, that he was asked about the poor (*al-fuqara'*) and the needy (*al-masakin*). He said: The poor (*al-fuqara'*) are those who abstain from asking. And the needy (*al-masakin*) are those who ask.
