Hadith 5:854
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Musa ibn ‘Ubaydah, from ‘Abbas ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman al-Madani, who said: Two habits the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, would not entrust to anyone of his family: he would hand [charity] to the needy with his own hand, and he would place the water for purification for himself.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال ثنا وكيع عن موسى بن عبيدة عن عباس بن عبد الرحمن المدني قال خصلتان لم يكن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يكلهما إلى أحد من أهله كان يناول المسكين بيده ويضع الطهور لنفسه
