Hadith 5:870
Ibn Numayr narrated to us, from ‘Amr ibn Maymun, who said: Umm al-Darda’ said to Abu al-Darda’: "If I am in need after you, may I eat from the charity (sadaqah)?" He said: "Work and eat." She said: "If I am too weak to work?" He said: "Gather the ears of grain, and do not eat from the charity."
حدثنا بن نمير عن عمرو بن ميمون قال قالت أم الدرداء لأبي الدرداء إذا احتجت بعدك آكل الصدقة قال لا اعملي وكلي قالت إن ضعفت عن العمل قال التقي السنبل ولا تأكلي الصدقة
