Hadith 5:88
Abu al-Ahwas narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from Asim ibn Damrah, from Ali, who said regarding camels: In five camels, there is one sheep, up to nine. If one is added, then in them are two sheep, up to fourteen. If one is added, then in them are three sheep, up to nineteen. If one is added, then in them are four [sheep], up to twenty-four. If one is added, then in them are five sheep. If one is added, then in them is a bint makhad (a one-year-old female camel) or an ibn labun (a two-year-old male camel) that is one year older than it, up to thirty-five. If one is added, then in them is a bint labun (a two-year-old female camel), up to forty-five. If one is added, then in them is a hiqqah (a three-year-old female camel) that is ready for the stallion, up to sixty. If one is added, then in them is a jadha'ah (a four-year-old female camel), up to seventy-five. If one is added, then in them are two bint labun, up to ninety. If one is added, then in them are two hiqqahs, up to one hundred and twenty. When the camels increase, then in every fifty camels there is a hiqqah. And that which is separate shall not be combined, and that which is combined shall not be separated.
