Hadith 5:894
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Bishr narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, from al-Mughirah ibn al-Nu’man, from Abdullah ibn al-Aqna’ al-Bahili, from al-Ahnaf ibn Qays, who said: I was sitting in a gathering in Medina when a man approached. You would not see a circle [of people] except that they fled from him, until he reached the circle I was in. I remained firm while they fled. I said, "Who are you?" He said, "Abu Dharr, the companion of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace." I said, "Why do the people flee from you?" He said, "I forbid them from [hoarding] treasures." I said, "Our stipends have reached [a high amount] and increased, so do you fear for us because of them?" He said, "As for today, no. But they are soon to become the prices of your religion, so leave them and [leave] them."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا محمد بن بشر قال حدثنا سفيان عن المغيرة بن النعمان عن عبد الله بن الاقنع الباهلي عن الأحنف بن قيس قال كنت جالسا في مجلس في المدينة فأقبل رجل لا ترى حلقة إلا فروا منه حتى انتهى إلى الحلقة التي كنت فيها فثبت وفروا فقلت من أنت قال أبو ذر صاحب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال فقلت ما يفر الناس منك قال إني أنهاهم عن الكنوز قال قلت إن أعطياتنا قد بلغت وارتفعت فتخاف علينا منها قال أما اليوم فلا ولكنها يوشك أن تكون أثمان دينكم فدعوهم وإياها
