Hadith 5:909
Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from ‘Ata’ ibn al-Sa’ib, who said: I came to Umm Kulthum, daughter of ‘Ali, with some charity, and she rejected it and said: A freed slave of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who was called Mihran, narrated to me that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "We, the family of Muhammad, charity is not lawful for us." And the freed slave of a people is one of them.
حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن عطاء بن السائب قال أتيت أم كلثوم ابنة علي بشيء من الصدقة فردتها وقالت حدثني مولى للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يقال له مهران أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال انا آل محمد لا تحل لنا الصدقة ومولى القوم منهم
