Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 5:910

Al-Hasan ibn Musa narrated to us, from Zuhayr, from Abdullah ibn Isa, from his father, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Layla, from his father, who said: I was with the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, in the house of charity (bayt al-sadaqah). He said: Then al-Hasan ibn Ali came and took a date, so he (the Prophet) took it from him and extracted it (from his mouth), and said: "Indeed, charity is not lawful for us."
