Hadith 5:912
Kuthayyir ibn Hisham narrated to us, from Ja'far ibn Burqan, he said: Thabit ibn al-Hajjaj narrated to us, he said: It reached me that two men from Banu 'Abd al-Muttalib came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, asking him for [a share of] the charity. He said: "No, but when you see something from the khums (one-fifth) with me, then come to me."
حدثنا كثير بن هشام عن جعفر بن برقان قال حدثنا ثابت بن الحجاج قال بلغني أن رجلين من بني عبد المطلب أتيا النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يسألانه من الصدقة فقال لا ولكن إذا رأيتما عندي شيئا من الخمس فأتياني
