Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 5:915

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abd al-Rahim narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from Asim ibn Umar, from Mahmud ibn Labid, from Rafi ibn Khadij, he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying: "The one who works for the charity (sadaqah) in truth is like the warrior in the way of Allah, until he returns to his house."
