Hadith 5:958
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Isra’il, from Jabir, from ‘Amir, who said: The *Mu’allafati Qulubuhum* (those whose hearts are to be reconciled) were only [given a share] during the time of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. When Abu Bakr took charge, it was discontinued.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال ثنا وكيع عن إسرائيل عن جابر عن عامر قال إنما كانت المؤلفة قلوبهم على عهد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فلما ولي أبو بكر انقطعت
