Hadith 130:16
Zakariya ibn Yahya narrated to us, Hushaym narrated to us, ‘Abd al-‘Aziz narrated to us, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: I was serving my paternal uncles *al-fadikh* (a beverage made) from unripe dates, when we heard a caller calling out: "Verily, alcohol has been prohibited." He said: So they said, "Pour it out, O Anas." He said: By Allah, they did not say, "Until we look and ask." He said: *Al-fadikh* was among their alcoholic drinks on that day. He said: And he mentioned among those who were there on that day: Abu Talhah, Suhayl ibn Bayda’, and people from the companions of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
