Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 130:31

Ja'far narrated to us, 'Abd al-Warith narrated to us, from 'Abd al-'Aziz, from Anas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) consummated his marriage with Zaynab bint Jahsh, and he prepared food for her, and he held a wedding feast for her with bread and meat. He said: So I sent out [invitations], and the food was covered. I invited [people], and a group would come and eat, then they would leave. I kept inviting until I could no longer find anyone to invite. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, by Allah, I cannot find anyone to invite." He said, "Then lift your food." Zaynab was sitting in a corner of the house. He said: She was a woman who had been given beauty. Three men remained in the house, talking in the house. The Prophet of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) went out and headed toward the chamber of 'Aishah. He said, "Peace be upon you, O people of the house, and the mercy of Allah. How have you spent the morning?" She said, "And upon you be peace and the mercy of Allah. How did you find your wife? May Allah bless you in her." He said: He went around to the chambers of all his wives, saying to them as he had said to 'Aishah, and they said to him as 'Aishah had said. Then the Prophet of Allah returned, and the three men were still talking in the house. The Prophet of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) was extremely shy, so he headed toward the chamber of 'Aishah. I do not know whether I informed him or he was informed that the people had left, so he returned. When he placed one of his feet on the threshold of the door and the other outside, he let down a curtain between me and him, and the verse of the hijab (veiling) was revealed.
