Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 7:28

Ishaq ibn Abi Isra'il narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from 'Amr ibn Dinar, who said: I heard Bajalah narrating to Abu al-Sha'tha' and 'Amr ibn Aws in the year Mus'ab ibn al-Zubayr performed Hajj, while he was beside the steps of Zamzam: I was a scribe for Juz' ibn Mu'awiyah, the paternal uncle of al-Ahnaf. 'Umar came to him one year before his death: "Kill every sorcerer, and separate between every person of prohibited degree (mahram) among the Magians, and forbid them from the *zamzamah* (muttering/murmuring during meals)." He said: So we killed three sorceresses, and we began to separate between a woman and her prohibited kin according to the Book of Allah. He prepared much food and invited the Magians, and he placed a sword upon his thigh. They threw down a mule-load or two of silver, and they ate without *zamzamah*. He said: 'Umar had not taken the jizya from the Magians until 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Awf informed him that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had taken it from the Magians of Hajar.
