Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 166:18

Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Numayr narrated to us, Yunus ibn Bukayr narrated to us, Talha ibn Yahya narrated to us, from Musa ibn Talha, [who said]: Aqil ibn Abi Talib narrated to us, [who] said: Quraysh came to Abu Talib and said: "Indeed, your nephew harms us in our assembly and in our mosque, so forbid him from harming us." He said: "O Aqil, bring Muhammad to me." So I went and brought him to him. He said: "O my nephew, your cousins claim that you harm them in their assembly and in their mosque, so desist from that." He said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, cast his gaze toward the sky and said: "Do you see this sun?" They said: "Yes." He said: "I am no more capable of abandoning that for you than you are of lighting a flame for me from it." He said: Abu Talib said: "My nephew has not lied, so go back."
