Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 151:26

Ubayd Allah ibn Umar al-Qawariri narrated to us, Hammad ibn Zayd narrated to us, Asim ibn Bahdalah narrated to us, from Abu Wa'il, from Abdullah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) distributed the spoils of Hunayn at al-Ji'ranah, and they crowded around him. He said: "A servant from among the servants of Allah was sent by Allah to a people, but they belied him, struck him, and wounded him." Abdullah said: "It is as if I am looking at the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) [mimicking] the size of a saddle, and he said: 'Like this: O Lord, forgive my people, for they do not know.'" Abu Sa'id al-Qawariri placed his thumb on his forehead as if he were wiping something away.
