Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 151:66

Shayban narrated to us, Abu 'Awanah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Malik ibn al-Harith, from Abu Wa'il, who said: We were sitting, waiting for Ibn Mas'ud to come out to us, when Yazid ibn Mu'awiyah came to us. We said, "Sit." He said, "Until I enter upon your companion; if he comes out, [fine], otherwise I will return to you." He said: So he entered upon him, and they both came out together. Ibn Mas'ud said: "I am indeed informed of your sitting or your place, and nothing prevents me from coming out to you except the dislike of boring you." "For the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, used to attend to us with exhortation during the days, fearing weariness for us."
