Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 151:89

Muhammad ibn al-Ala narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Hisham narrated to us, from Shayban, from Firas, from 'Atiyyah, from Abu Sa'id, from the Prophet, peace be upon him, who said: "A man entered Paradise who had never done any good. When death approached him, he said to his family: 'When I die, burn me, then crush me, then scatter half of me on the land and half of me in the sea.' So the sea and the land were commanded, and they gathered him. Then He said: 'What compelled you to do what you did?' He said: 'Fear of You.' So He forgave him for that."
