Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 153:104

Ya'qub ibn al-Dawraqi narrated to us, Abu 'Asim narrated to us, from Fudayl ibn Sulayman Abu Sulayman, he said: Musa ibn 'Uqbah narrated to me, from Salim ibn 'Abd Allah, from 'Abd Allah ibn 'Umar, he said: When the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) appointed Usamah ibn Zayd (to a command), the people spoke about him. He said: This reached the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), or something of that, so the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "It has reached me what you have said regarding Usamah, and you indeed said that regarding his father before him. And he is truly worthy of the command, and he is truly worthy of the command, and he is truly worthy of the command. And he is the most beloved of the people to me." He said: And he did not exclude Fatimah, nor anyone else.
