And from his father, he said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Kill the snakes, and the *dhu al-tufyatayn* (the one with two white lines on its back) and the *abtar* (the short-tailed one), for they both take away the eyesight and cause the miscarriage of the fetus." Ibn Umar used to kill every snake he found. Abu Lubabah or Zayd ibn al-Khattab saw him while he was chasing a snake, and he said: "Indeed, he (the Prophet) forbade [killing] those that are in the houses."
