Hadith 153:184
Ahmad ibn Bashir al-Mudhakkar narrated to us, Abd al-Rahim al-Ammi narrated to us, from his father, from Mu'awiyah ibn Qurrah al-Muzani, from Ibn Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) performed ablution once for each part, and said: "This is the ablution without which Allah does not accept prayer." Then he performed ablution twice for each part, and said: "This is the moderation in ablution; its reward is doubled for its performer." Then he performed ablution three times for each part, and said: "This is my ablution, and the ablution of the Friend of Allah, Ibrahim, and the ablution of the prophets before me, and it is the prescribed duty of ablution. Whoever performs my ablution, then says: 'I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger,' the eight gates of Paradise will be opened for him; he may enter through whichever of them he wishes."
