Abu Khaythama narrated to us, Yazid bin Harun narrated to us, Abd al-Khaliq bin Salama informed us, he said: I heard Sa'id bin al-Musayyib saying: I heard Abdullah bin Umar saying near the pulpit—and he pointed to the pulpit of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace—: The delegation of Abd al-Qays came to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and they asked him about drinks. So he forbade them from the *duba* (gourd), the *naqir* (hollowed-out log), and the *hantam* (green glazed jar). I said, "O Abu Muhammad, and the *muzaffat* (pitch-coated vessel)?" And we thought that he had forgotten it. He said, "I did not hear it from Abdullah bin Umar on that day," although he used to dislike it.
