Abu Khaythama narrated to us, Ibn 'Uyaynah narrated to us, from 'Amr ibn Dinar, who said: I asked Ibn 'Umar about a man who arrived for 'Umrah and performed Tawaf around the House, but did not perform Sa'i between al-Safa and al-Marwah; may he approach his wife? He said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) arrived and performed Tawaf around the House seven times, and prayed two rak'ahs behind the Maqam, and performed Sa'i between al-Safa and al-Marwah seven times. And indeed, you have in the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) an excellent example.
