And from Salim, from his father: The Prophet (peace be upon him) heard Umar swearing by his father. He said: "Behold, Allah forbids you from swearing by your fathers." Umar said: "By Allah, I have not sworn by them since then, neither as one who remembers nor as one who narrates."
