Hadith 153:99
Jabarah ibn Mughallis narrated to us, 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn Abi Salamah al-Majishun narrated to us, Salih ibn Kaysan informed me, from Salim ibn 'Abd Allah, from his father, who said: When the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) would return from Hajj or 'Umrah, whenever he ascended a high ground or a mountain pass, he would say the takbir three times. Then he would say: "There is no god but Allah alone, He has no partner. To Him belongs the dominion, and to Him belongs the praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is capable of all things. We are returning, repenting, worshipping our Lord, and praising Him. Allah fulfilled His promise, aided His servant, and defeated the confederates alone."
