Ishaq ibn Isma'il narrated to us, Rawh ibn 'Ubadah narrated to us, from Shu'bah, Yazid ibn Khumayr informed me, he said: I heard Sulaym ibn 'Amir from a man from the people of Homs, and he had met the companions of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He said: I heard Abu Bakr deliver a sermon to us when he was made caliph. He said: "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, stood in this place of mine in the first year." Then he wept, and then he said: "Ask Allah for pardon and well-being."
