Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 1:14

Abu Khaythama narrated to us, Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Uthman ibn al-Mughirah, he said: I heard Ali ibn Rabi'ah, a man from Banu Asad, narrating from Asma' or the son of Asma' from Banu Fazarah, from Ali, he said: "When I heard a hadith from the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), Allah would benefit me with it as much as He willed to benefit me. And Abu Bakr narrated to me—and Abu Bakr spoke the truth—that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said..." then he mentioned the like of it.
