Musnad Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (RA) In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Hadith 1:21

Abu Khaythama narrated to us, Rawh ibn ‘Ubadah narrated to us, Musa ibn ‘Ubaydah narrated to us, saying: The freed slave of Ibn Siba’ narrated to me, saying: I heard ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar narrating from Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, who said: I was with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) when this verse was revealed: "Whoever does evil will be recompensed for it, and he will not find for himself besides Allah any protector or helper" (An-Nisa: 123). The Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "O Abu Bakr, shall I not recite to you a verse that has been revealed to me?" I said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "So he recited it to me." He said: I do not know but that I felt a cracking in my back, until I stretched out for it in my back. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "As for you, O Abu Bakr, and your believing companions, you will be recompensed for that in this world until you meet Allah and you have no sins. As for the others, it will be gathered for them until they are recompensed for it on the Day of Resurrection."
