Al-Ashajj narrated to us, Ishaq—meaning al-Razi—narrated to us, Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "There is no newborn who is born except that Satan touches him, so he begins to cry out from the touch of Satan upon him, except for 'Isa ibn Maryam and his mother." For Allah says: "And I seek refuge for her in You and for her descendants from Satan, the expelled [from the mercy of Allah]."
