On the authority of al-Awza'i, he said: Abu Kathir narrated to me, he said: I heard Abu Hurayrah saying: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Intoxicants (al-khamr) are from these two trees: the date palm and the grapevine."
