Daud ibn Rashid narrated to us, Ismail ibn Ayyash narrated to us, he said: Abd al-Rahman al-Awza'i narrated to me, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurairah, from the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), who said: "A previously married woman shall not be married until she is consulted, and a virgin shall not be married until her permission is sought." And her permission is silence.
