Bishr ibn Sayhan narrated to us, Harb ibn Maymun narrated to us, Hisham ibn Hassan narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Sirin, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) visited Bilal and he brought out to him a heap of dates. He said: "What is this, O Bilal?" He said: "Dates I have stored away, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "Do you not fear that you will hear the steam of it in Hell? Spend, O Bilal, and do not fear poverty from the Possessor of the Throne."
