'Abd al-A'la ibn Hammad narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, from Ayyub, Habib, and Hisham, from Muhammad and Qatadah, from Abu Hurayrah, that he said: A man came to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) and said: "I was fasting, but I ate and drank forgetfully." The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Allah fed you and gave you to drink, so complete your fast."
