Harun ibn Ma'ruf narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Ziyad ibn Sa'd, from Hilal ibn Abi Maymunah, from Abu Maymunah: I witnessed Abu Hurayrah give a boy the choice between his father and his mother. And he said: "Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) gave a boy the choice between his father and his mother."
