Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 155:322

'Abbad ibn Musa narrated to us, Yusuf ibn Ziyad narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Ziyad narrated to us, from al-Agharr ibn Muslim—whose kunya is Abu Muslim—from Abu Hurayrah, who said: I entered the market one day with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace). He sat with the cloth merchants and bought trousers for four dirhams. There was a weigher for the people of the market who was weighing. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said to him: "Weigh and give extra." The weigher said: "This is a word I have not heard from anyone." Abu Hurayrah said: I said to him: "It is sufficient of foolishness and harshness in your religion that you do not recognize your Prophet." So he threw down the scale and leaped toward the hand of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), wanting to kiss it. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) pulled his hand away from him and said: "What is this? This is only what the non-Arabs do with their kings, and I am not a king. I am only a man from among you." So he weighed and gave extra, and the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) took the trousers. Abu Hurayrah said: I went to carry them for him, but he said: "The owner of the thing has more right to his thing to carry it, unless he is weak and unable to do so, then his Muslim brother helps him." I said: "O Messenger of Allah, do you wear trousers?" He said: "Yes, in travel and at home, and by night and by day, for I have been commanded to cover myself, and I have not found anything that covers better than them."
