Abu Khaythama narrated to us, Yahya bin Sa'id narrated to us, Muhammad bin 'Amr narrated to us, Abu Salama narrated to me, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) decreed regarding the fetus a *ghurra* (compensation) of a male slave or a female slave. The one against whom the judgment was made said: "Shall blood money be paid for one who neither ate, nor drank, nor cried out, and thus died? Such a claim is void." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, this one speaks with the words of a poet. In it is a *ghurra* of a male slave or a female slave."
