Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 147:5

Ubayd Allah ibn Mu'adh ibn Mu'adh al-'Anbari narrated to us, my father narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Abu 'Imran al-Jawni, from Anas ibn Malik, from the Prophet (peace be upon him), who said: Allah will say to the person with the lightest punishment among the people of the Fire: "If you had the world and what is in it, would you ransom yourself with it?" He will say: "Yes." He will say: "I wanted from you something easier than this while you were in the loins of Adam: that you do not associate anything with Me"—I think he said—"and I would not admit you into the Fire, but you refused except to associate others with Me."
