Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 9:4

Isma'il ibn Musa al-Kufi narrated to us, Sharik narrated to us, from Abu 'Umar, he said: I heard Abu Juhayfah say: The *judd* (fortune/status) was mentioned in the presence of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, while he was in prayer. A man said: "The *judd* of so-and-so is in horses." Another said: "The *judd* of so-and-so is in camels." Another said: "The *judd* of so-and-so is in sheep." Another said: "The *judd* of so-and-so is in slaves." He said: When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, finished, he raised his head from the last rak'ah and said: "O Allah, our Lord, to You is the praise, filling the heavens and filling the earth and filling whatever You will of anything after that," until he reached: "And the *judd* (fortune/status) of the possessor of *judd* (fortune/status) will not benefit him against You." He said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, elongated his voice with the word *judd* so that they would know that it is not as they say.
