Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 42:213

Zuhayr narrated to us, Mu'adh ibn Hisham narrated to us, my father narrated to me, from Qatadah, from Abu al-Mutawakkil, from Abu Sa'id, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When the believers are saved from the Fire, they will be detained upon a bridge between Paradise and the Fire. They will settle the injustices that existed between them in the world. Until, when they are purified and refined, they will be granted permission to enter Paradise. By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, one of them will know his dwelling in Paradise better than you know the dwelling you inhabited in the world."
