Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 42:24

Zuhayr narrated to us, Yahya bin Sa’id narrated to us, Sa’d bin Ishaq narrated to us, he said: Zaynab bint Ka’b narrated to me, from Abu Sa’id, that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade the meat of the sacrificial animals (al-adahi) beyond three days. Then he granted a concession for us to eat and to store. He said: Then Qatadah bin al-Nu’man, the brother of Abu Sa’id, arrived, and they presented to him some of the dried meat (qadid) of the sacrifice. He said: "Is this from the dried meat of the sacrifice?" They said: "Yes." He said: "Has the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) not forbidden it?" Abu Sa’id said: "Yes, but a matter has occurred regarding it. He had forbidden us from keeping it beyond three days, and he has granted us a concession to eat and to store."
