Zuhayr narrated to us, Rawh ibn Aslam narrated to us, Wuhayb informed us, from ‘Amr ibn Yahya, from his father, from Abu Sa’id al-Khudri, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: "When the people of Paradise enter Paradise and the people of the Fire enter the Fire, Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, will say: 'Whoever has in his heart the weight of a mustard seed of good, then take him out of the Fire.' He said: So they will come out having been scorched and become charcoal. Then they will be cast into a river called the River of Life, and they will sprout as a seed sprouts in the silt of a flood—or he said: in the silt of the wormwood (shih)—Abu ‘Amr was in doubt. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'Do you not see it sprout yellow and twisted?'"
