Zuhayr narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Yusuf narrated to us, from al-Awza'i, from al-Zuhri, from 'Ata' ibn Yazid al-Laythi, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: A man came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said: "Which of the people is best?" He said: "A man who strives with his self and his wealth in the way of Allah, and a man—meaning in a mountain pass among the mountain passes—who worships his Lord and leaves the people alone from his evil."
