Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 42:28

Abu Kurayb narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Hisham narrated to us, from Shayban, from Firas, from 'Atiyyah, from Abu Sa'id, from the Prophet (peace be upon him), who said: "A servant entered Paradise who had never done any good at all. He said to his family when death approached him: 'If I die, then burn me, then crush me, then scatter half of me in the sea and half of me on the land.' So He commanded the sea and the land, and they gathered him. Then He said: 'What compelled you to do what you did?' He said: 'Fear of You.' So He forgave him for that."
